Vanessa has many notable accomplishments. She is the first in her family to graduate from college earning her B.S in Community and Regional Development from UC Davis in 2010 and also her Masters of Social Work from Cal State East Bay in 2017. During her college career, Vanessa participated in student body government and fought against racial and disability discrimination and injustices. Vanessa is also working to become an ordained Minister and serves as the Social Awareness and Community Outreach Coordinator at Vision Center Church in Oakland, California. She preaches and teaches the word of GOD in a unique way that encourages anyone that may be hurting or need comfort. 

Understanding the call of GOD on her life to inspire and encourage the “underdog” communities, Vanessa was compelled to commence her business: Vanessa in Purpose LLC. The purpose of Vanessa in Purpose is to encourage and inspire people from all walks of life. V.I.P has executed workshops and social events on body positivity and self-love. 

Vanessa continues to look forward to inspiring and helping people that she comes in contact with. She is currently in the process of writing her first book and is in the process of commencing her self-empowerment tour for Fall 2020. She is big, bold and beautiful and not afraid to conquer the world by storm! She is Vanessa Jackson!
